Most investors I have met with are not enthusiastic about putting hard money into indie art house films because those are tough sells to movie distributors and overseas film buyers aren’t usually enthusiastic about seeing them. Action, horror and skin doesn’t need subtitles for folks to follow the storyline is what I’ve been told by distributors. Impartial film financing continues to change as indie movie distribution gets more fiscally shaky. The area it’s striking indie movie producers most challenging is right at the source – film loans. Film investors right now aren’t feeling excited about putting money into videos which in turn not have bankable name actors. This is not like so-called films that contain A-list actors and produced for millions of dollars.
